How Do I Earn a MTAG Certificate?

1. Start by taking one or two foundational courses in the Natural Sciences (Manufacturing) Career Academy. Foundational courses include:
   • Technology Foundations
   • Applied Physics
   • Electronics
   • Wood Tech
   • Computer Aided Drafting
   • Basic Auto Tech
2. Work with your Tech teachers or counselor to determine your choice for an area of concentration: · Automotive, Construction · Design Engineering · Metal Working or · Technical Sciences You can always expand your employment preparation by taking more than one technical concentration working toward more than one Manufacturing Tech certifications.
3. Successfully complete the courses identified within your chosen technology concentration and earn a grade of B or better.
4. Pick up a transcript from the high school registrar. Your transcript shows your courses and grade achievements. Take the required information to your technology teacher(s) for their signature approval.
5. Receive the Manufacturing Technology Advisory Group Certificate and see link below for partcipating businesses.
