If you have a Tech Prep program at your school, you’ve likely heard of articulation. However, unless you’ve participated in developing an articulation, you may not be aware of the benefits to you and your students.
Benefits for you:
Tech Prep articulations increase academic rigor in your classroom – this is more important now than ever before.
Tech Prep increases student options in career pathways/programs of study and provides a framework for logical course sequencing.
Tech Prep fosters a community of educators and industry across the secondary and post-secondary system – giving you access to resources and expertise as you design and update your programs.
Benefits for students:
Tech Prep related reports and research show a positive impact a student’s overall academic and career-technical experience – improving achievement, grades and life skills like problem solving and time management.
Tech Prep students can earn dual/college credit and/or advanced placement at no or a significantly reduced cost, compared to students who don’t enroll in dual credit programs.
